The killer in the Friday the 13th series is primarily Jason Voorhees. In the first movie, the killer is revealed to be Jasons mother, Pamela Voorhees, who seeks revenge for her sons death. However, in subsequent movies, Jason is portrayed as the killer. In the second movie, it is revealed that Jason survived his drowning and went on to live in the woods for 30 years until the events of the second movie. From then on, Jason is depicted as a supernatural presence that haunts Crystal Lake and kills anyone who dares to stay.
