The official language of Turkey is Turkish, and about 90% of the population speaks it as their first language. However, Turkey is also home to many minority, immigrant, and foreign languages. Kurdish (Kurmanji) and Arabic are the most spoken languages after Turkish. Other minority languages officially recognized in Turkey include Armenian, Bulgarian, Greek, and Hebrew. According to Ethnologue, many minority and immigrant languages are spoken in Turkey, some of which are spoken by large numbers of people. Some of the other languages spoken in Turkey include Zazaki, Laz, Circassian, and Jewish languages.
