It is a short paragraph that contains all the letters of the alphabet, with characters spread out evenly so that the readers attention is focused on the layout of the text instead of its content. The purpose of Lorem ipsum is to create a natural-looking block of text (sentence, paragraph, page, etc.) that doesnt distract from the layout. It is typically used as a placeholder before final copy is available, or to temporarily replace text in a process called greeking, which allows designers to consider the form of a webpage or publication without the meaning of the text influencing the design. Versions of the Lorem ipsum text have been used in typesetting since at least the 1960s, when it was popularized by advertisements for Letraset transfer sheets.
