Sunday is not a mystery itself, but it is the day on which the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary are traditionally prayed. The Glorious Mysteries are one of the four sets of mysteries of the Rosary, and they are prayed on Wednesdays and Sundays outside of Lent and Advent. The Glorious Mysteries consist of five events in the life of Jesus and Mary, including the Resurrection of Jesus, the Ascension of Jesus, the Descent of the Holy Spirit, the Assumption of Mary, and the Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth. The Glorious Mysteries are an opportunity for Catholics to reflect on the glory of God and the incredible dream that God has for each one of us.
