Bryan Adams is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and photographer. He was born on November 5, 1959, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. His parents were Elizabeth Jane (née Watson) and Conrad J Adams, an English couple who emigrated to Canada from Plymouth in the 1950s. One of his grandmothers was born in Malta. His father was a Sandhurst officer in the British Army, who later worked as a United Nations peacekeeping observer and Canadian foreign service diplomat.

Adams has never been married, but he has had relationships with Danish model Cecilie Thomsen and Alicia Grimaldi, his former personal assistant and the co-founder of his namesake foundation. He has two daughters with Grimaldi, Mirabella Bunny, born in 2011, and Lula Rosalea, born in 2013.

In addition to his music career, Adams is also a highly successful photographer. He has been published in British Vogue, Luomo Vogue, American Vanity Fair, Harpers Bazaar, and Esquire. In 2015, he was given an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society in London for his work in photography.
