Keanu Reeves is a Canadian actor who was born in Beirut, Lebanon on September 2, 1964. His father, Samuel Nowlin Reeves, Jr., was a geologist of British, Portuguese, Native Hawaiian, and Chinese ancestry, while his mother, Patricia Bond, was a showgirl and costume designer from Essex, England. Reeves and his mother moved to New York City and then to Toronto after his parents marriage dissolved when he was young. Despite being born in Lebanon, Reeves is Canadian and holds Canadian nationality.
