Her father is African-American, with Nigerian ancestry, and her mother has German and Scottish ancestry. Zendayas name means "to give thanks" in Shona. She has five older siblings. Zendaya is a great role model for young girls all around the world. She supports campaigns to raise awareness about underserved communities, underprivileged schools, and to financially support schools. Zendaya is a feminist and attended the Womens March on Washington in January 2017 to showcase her support of womens rights.
