The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs estimates that 107,000 veterans are homeless on any given night. The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans also reports that nearly 13% of the homeless adult population are veterans, while only 7% of the general population can claim veteran status. Therefore, it can be concluded that the percentage of homeless people who are veterans is around 11% to 13%.
