Rory McIlroy currently uses a TaylorMade Spider X Hydro Blast mallet putter. He has made some changes to his putter setup in the past, including switching to a custom Scotty Cameron blade putter for the 2023 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play and the Masters. However, he switched back to his familiar TaylorMade mallet putter with a new custom grip on it for the Wells Fargo Championship. McIlroy has also made minor adjustments to his putter during tournaments, such as shortening the shaft and adding weight to the putter head. Despite these changes, he has mostly used a TaylorMade putter since becoming a TaylorMade staff player in 2017.
