To be eligible for the IAS exam, candidates must meet certain criteria related to nationality, age, and educational qualifications. The educational qualification required for the IAS exam is a bachelors degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification. Candidates who are in their final year of graduation or awaiting results are also eligible to apply for the exam, but they must produce proof of passing the said exam. Medical students who have passed the final year of their MBBS program but have not yet finished their internship are also eligible for the IAS exam, but they must submit a course completion certificate (including an internship) from the relevant University/Institution authority with the Main Examination application.
