Skin tags are soft, noncancerous growths that usually dont require treatment or a visit to the doctor. However, if a skin tag becomes irritated, bleeds, or develops on your eyelid and affects your eyesight, it may need to be removed. There are several methods for removing skin tags, including:

• Surgical removal: A dermatologist can numb the area, use sterile surgical scissors or a blade to remove the skin tag, and then apply a solution to stop bleeding.
