• Punahou School: Obama attended this elite academy in Honolulu and graduated from it.
• Occidental College: Obama attended this college in Los Angeles for his freshman and sophomore years.
• Columbia University: Obama transferred to this university to finish his undergraduate studies and graduated from it in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
• Harvard Law School: Obama enrolled in this law school in 1988 and graduated magna cum laude in 1991.

After completing his education, Obama became a civil rights attorney and an academic, teaching constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004.
