Lionel Messi attended a local school in his hometown of Rosario, Argentina from the ages of 4 to 13, where he studied core subjects like math, language, and science. He then moved to Spain at the age of 13 to join Barcelonas famed La Masia academy, where he attended Leon XIII School, the school every La Masia resident attends. Despite his early success in football, Messi understood the importance of education and enrolled in a high school after joining the Barcelona youth academy. Messi often had to miss classes to attend training sessions and matches, making it difficult for him to maintain a regular academic schedule. However, he managed to balance his passion for soccer with his academic pursuits. By all accounts, Messi was an average student. As the family has recently moved from Barcelona to Paris due to Messi’s transfer from FC Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), his children now attend schools in France.
