  • Breast milk or formula: Your baby should still be getting 24 to 36 ounces of breast milk or formula over 24 hours, or five to eight nursing sessions a day.

  • Solid foods: You can start with one meal a day and continue to work up to adding more meals and snacks as they move toward one year of age. At 6 to 8 months old, you can feed your baby half a cup of soft food two to three times a day. Some examples of pureed or soft foods include:

    • Pureed or strained fruits (banana, pears, applesauce, peaches, avocado)
