Old Trafford and Anfield have not made the final shortlist. The venues were selected to ensure that at least one stadium from each of the five nations (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland) is included. The opening game is reportedly set to be held at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
