According to the California Department of Social Services, the following retailers accept EBT in California:

• Amazon
• Safeway
• Vons
• Walmart

These retailers also accept EBT for online purchases, but only for groceries. Cash assistance EBT benefits can only be used at Walmart. In addition to these retailers, most supermarkets, corner stores, and other grocers accept CalFresh EBT.
