According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, it is unlawful to hunt on Sundays except for foxes, crows, and coyotes. However, there are some exceptions for certain species and groups of hunters. For example, licensed junior and mentored youth hunters, military veterans, and active military personnel can hunt ducks, mergansers, brant, coots, gallinules, and Canada geese during selected days.
As for deer hunting, the final 2023-24 hunting and trapping seasons and bag limits were approved on April 15, 2023. The season for antlered deer is from Nov. 30 to Nov. 11, with Sunday hunting allowed on Nov. 12, Nov. 13-17, and Dec. 26-Jan. 15, 2024.
Additionally, there are three additional Sunday hunting opportunities for 2023 on Nov. 12, Nov. 19, and Nov. 26. However, hunters on private land must carry written permission from the landowner.
