Steve Kerr is a former professional basketball player who played for six teams during his 15-year tenure in the NBA. He was a point guard and shooting guard. Kerr won five NBA championships as a player, three with the Chicago Bulls (1996, 97, 98), and two with the San Antonio Spurs (99 and 2003) . He played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats, where he was a two-time first-team all-conference player in the Pac-10 and earned All-American honors as a senior in 1988. Kerr was selected by the Phoenix Suns in the second round of the 1988 NBA draft. He played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic, and Portland Trail Blazers before joining the Chicago Bulls in 1993. Kerr became an integral part of the team’s second Championship three-peat, and he is best known for his Game 6 buzzer-beater in the 1997 NBA Finals vs Utah. After his time with the Bulls, Kerr joined the San Antonio Spurs in 1999 and won two more NBA championships with the team.
