There are plenty of things to do in London this weekend. Here are some of the events and activities happening in the city:

• Watch a play: Tyrell Williams’s debut play ‘Red Pitch’ is returning to the stage. The play is about gifted young Black footballers on a gentrifying London estate.

• Visit a museum: The Acton Depot is showcasing the stories of the people who have shaped Londons public transport network. You can travel back in time and chat to costumed characters such as tube map designer Harry Beck, and Joe Clough — Britains first Black bus driver.

• Attend a festival: Oktoberfest parties are happening in various locations across the city.

• Enjoy a concert: Candlelight Brighton: Hans Zimmers Best Works is happening at the Royal Pavilion.

• Explore the city: Take a walking tour of London and learn about four of the lesser-known female felons of London’s past. The tour will take you from The City of London to the West End, and your guide will tell you tales of witchcraft, crimes, and executions in the 1800s and early 1900s.

• Go kayaking: As part of the Totally Thames Festival, you can take part in a kayak taster session and have a go at using a sea kayak on the Thames.

• Visit a flea market: The Big London Flea is happening at EartH Hackney, where 60 traders will be offering furniture, homewares, vintage attire, and more.

• Enjoy a bottomless brunch: Members club Shoreditch Art’s Club opens its doors to non-members every Saturday, welcoming the public with a £25 bottomless brunch.
