To rename Eevee, follow these steps:
- Open your Pokémon collection and find the Eevee you want to evolve.
- Tap the pencil icon next to its name to rename it.
- Enter the specific codename for the evolution you want to obtain. The codenames are as follows:
- Rainer for Vaporeon
- Sparky for Jolteon
- Pyro for Flareon
- Sakura for Espeon
- Tamao for Umbreon
- Linnea for Leafeon
- Rea for Glaceon
- Kira for Sylveon
- Make sure you enter the right codename and double-check that the name change has taken place by quitting and reloading the app.
Note that the nickname trick only works once per evolution type, so you will need to use a different approach for every following evolution.
