The Bathurst 1000 is a touring car race held annually on the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. The race is part of the Supercars Championship, and it is colloquially known as The Great Race among motorsport fans and media. The 2023 edition of the race will feature 28 cars on the Mount Panorama grid, including three wildcards. The field consists of 15 Chevrolet Camaros and 13 Ford Mustangs, and it will be the first time the Mustang and Camaro have raced against each other at the Bathurst 1000. The race will be contested by Ford teams with the Mustang and General Motors with the Chevrolet Camaro.
