Lisa Rowe is a character in the book and movie "Girl, Interrupted." She is a patient in a psychiatric hospital and is diagnosed as a sociopath. Lisa is the most powerful personality on the ward and is proud of her diagnosis as a sociopath, reveling in the attention her antics earn her. She is wildly unpredictable, throwing tantrums and planning escapes for herself and others. Lisas disregard for authority makes her a frustrating and entertaining figure in the eyes of the other girls, and her actions often lead to chaos and disruption. While Lisa is a dangerously attractive figure for the other girls, the dark side of her personality can appear without warning, and she can be willfully cruel. In the end, Lisa breaks down and reveals that perhaps she has been living a lie, that she probably isnt a sociopath at all but is very troubled.
