Ecotrax's railway tracks were once used to transport sugar cane. These tracks belonged to the Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) and were part of a historic sugar cane railway network essential to Fiji's sugar industry. The locomotives on these tracks transported harvested sugar cane to the mills. After the sugar cane railway operations ceased, the tracks were repurposed by Ecotrax for an eco-tourism venture featuring electric, rail-mounted bicycles for scenic tours along the Coral Coast in Fiji.
