"What You Get Is What You See" is a song by Tina Turner from her album Break Every Rule (1986) . The song was popular in Australia, where it was used in a campaign for the New South Wales Rugby League in 1989. Advertising executive Jim Walpole approached the NSWRL with the idea of using Turner to film an advert using her hit song, "What You Get Is What You See". The advertisements were an immediate hit, and Turner became intrinsically associated with rugby league. The song was also used in another campaign for the NSWRL, along with Turners song "The Best". The campaign featuring "What You Get Is What You See" changed the face of rugby league and Australian sport forever, and Turners involvement is considered a critical demarcation point in the history of rugby league.
