"What you see is what you get" is a saying that means there is nothing hidden or unknown beyond what is immediately apparent in a given person or thing. It can also refer to the way something displays on the screen being the way it will display in print or other media, as in the acronym WYSIWYG. The phrase predates computing and was used by salesmen to assure customers of the quality of their product. It can be seen as rude sometimes, and if someone says it, it may mean that they are not going to change or improve.
