Martha Stewart went to jail on October 8, 2004. She reported to the Federal Prison Camp in Alderson, West Virginia, to serve a five-month prison sentence for charges related to lying about a stock sale, conspiracy, and obstruction of justice. She was released from prison on March 4, 2005, after serving the full five months. Following her release, she also completed five months of home confinement at her residence in Bedford, New York, as part of her sentence.
