The Juno satellite arrived at Jupiter on July 4, 2016. It entered orbit around Jupiter after completing a nearly five-year journey through deep space, becoming the first spacecraft to orbit Jupiter since the Galileo mission in 1995. Juno was launched on August 5, 2011, and reached Jupiter on America's Independence Day, July 4, 2016. Upon arrival, it successfully executed a 35-minute engine burn to slip into orbit around the planet.
