The Federal Reserve announces interest rate decisions eight times a year during the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meetings, approximately every six weeks. The announcements typically happen at the conclusion of these meetings. For 2025, the Fed interest rate decisions are scheduled on these dates:

• March 18-19
• May 6-7
• June 17-18
• July 29-30
• September 16-17
• October 28-29
• December 9-10

Each meeting ends with an interest rate decision announcement, usually followed by a press conference by the Federal Reserve Chair. The next scheduled announcement is on September 17, 2025, at 2 PM Eastern Time (18:00 UTC).
