macOS 26, named macOS Tahoe, was officially released on September 15, 2025. The developer beta was made available on June 9, 2025, with the public beta released around mid-July 2025. This version brings a significant redesign along with new features like enhanced Continuity capabilities, an innovative Phone app, and extensive Spotlight updates. macOS Tahoe is also the last version supporting Intel-based Macs with a T2 Security Chip, moving forward exclusively to Apple silicon support.
