Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith originally premiered in theaters in May 2005 and wrapped its initial U.S. theatrical run on October 20, 2005. In 2025, to celebrate its 20th anniversary, it was re-released in select U.S. theaters and international territories starting April 25, 2025, running for one week only in this special edition. Specifically, the 2025 theatrical re- release was scheduled to run until April 30, 2025, in many theaters, including a special 4DX format experience for the first time.
