The SDSU Financial Aid Office evaluates your Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) annually at the end of the spring semester. This evaluation determines if you have met the SAP requirements to be eligible for federal and state financial aid for the upcoming academic year. If you do not meet the SAP standards, you may have the option to submit an appeal. Important dates for submitting SAP appeals for the 2025-26 academic year are:

• Summer 2025 appeal deadline: July 29, 2025, by 3 pm Pacific Time
• Fall 2025 appeal deadline: December 10, 2025, by 3 pm Pacific Time
• Spring 2026 appeal deadline: April 30, 2026, by 3 pm Pacific Time
