The 2025 NHL Draft Lottery is scheduled for Monday, May 5, 2025. It will determine the order of selection for the first 16 picks in the 2025 NHL Draft for the teams that did not qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The event will be held at the NHL Network studios in Secaucus, New Jersey, and will be broadcast live on ESPN, Sportsnet, and TVA Sports at 7 p.m. ET. This year the lottery will be conducted in two phases to determine the first and second overall picks. The 2025 NHL Draft itself will take place later in June, with the first round on June 27 and rounds 2-7 on June 28.
