The ban was for violation of Twitch's guidelines on "hateful conduct," with Twitch citing "promoting, encouraging, or facilitating the discrimination or denigration of a group of people based on their protected characteristics" as the reason. Destiny has suggested that the ban was largely due to his comments about transgender women competing in women's athletics, and related controversies. The ban was indefinite and has cost him his entire income from the platform since then.
