The new updated COVID-19 vaccines for Ontario will be available starting in the fall of 2025. These vaccines include two mRNA options: Moderna Spikevax for individuals 6 months and older, and Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty for those 12 years and older. The vaccines target currently circulating COVID-19 variants and are part of an annual vaccination program aligned with the respiratory illness season. The protein subunit Novavax vaccine will not be available in Ontario for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 seasons. Ontarians can get the updated vaccines at pharmacies, participating community health care providers, and public health clinics, with appointments becoming available in the fall 2025 respiratory illness season.
