Pokémon GO will increase the Trainer level cap from 50 to 80 starting on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. This update will introduce a rebalanced leveling system allowing trainers to progress more frequently and earn new rewards such as expanded Pokémon and item storage, and new avatar items. Players already at level 23 or higher will gain at least one level with the new system, and no player will lose levels when the update goes live.
