Range Rovers are primarily made in the United Kingdom at the Solihull plant near Birmingham, where the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover Velar are produced. The Halewood plant near Liverpool manufactures the Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport. Beyond the UK, Land Rover has expanded manufacturing globally: the Discovery and 2020 Defender models are built in Nitra, Slovakia; both Discovery Sport and Evoque are made in Itatiaia, Brazil, and also in Pune, India. Additionally, there is a joint venture plant in Changshu, China, producing Discovery Sports and Evoques. Notably, starting in 2024, the full Range Rover portfolio also began production in Pune, India, a significant expansion due to rising demand in that market. Land Rovers are not made in the United States, with vehicles sold there imported mostly from the UK, Slovakia, or Brazil. This global production network allows Land Rover to meet increasing worldwide demand while maintaining strong manufacturing roots in the UK.
