- South Korea : Samsung manufactures high-end phones like the Galaxy S and Note series in its home country, South Korea, but this accounts for less than 10% of global shipments. These units are mainly for the local market
- Brazil : Samsung has a factory in Brazil supplying smartphones to Latin America, helping avoid high import taxes and offering competitive pricing locally
- Other locations : Samsung previously had factories in China but closed its last smartphone factory there around 2019 due to declining market share.
