DC United previously played at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium (RFK Stadium) in Washington, D.C. from their inaugural MLS season in 1996 through 2017. They relocated to Audi Field, a soccer-specific stadium in Southwest Washington, in 2018, where they have played since. RFK Stadium is historically a multi-purpose venue and was often used for other sports and events before the move to Audi Field.
