Ja Morant attended Crestwood High School in Sumter, South Carolina. During his time there, he was a standout player, becoming the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,679 points and earning three-time All-Region Most Valuable Player (MVP) honors as well as All-State honors. Despite his impressive high school achievements, he was not highly ranked by major recruiting services and received limited attention from top NCAA Division I programs
