The move to Steinbrenner Field is due to major damage to their usual home, Tropicana Field, caused by Hurricane Milton in October 2024. Repairs on Tropicana Field are expected to be completed by April 2026, and the Rays anticipate returning there for the 2026 season. Steinbrenner Field was transformed extensively to meet major league standards for the Rays' 2025 season, with a seating capacity of around 11,000.
