You should inject Ozempic (semaglutide) under the skin (subcutaneously) once weekly in one of the following areas:

• Abdomen (stomach), at least 2 inches away from your belly button
• Front or sides of your thighs
• Upper arms (back of the arms)

It is important to rotate your injection site each time you inject to avoid skin irritation. For example, if you inject in your right thigh one week, choose a different spot in the same area or switch to your abdomen or upper arm the next time. Do not inject into a muscle or vein

. Before injecting, clean the site with an alcohol swab and let it dry. Insert the needle at a 90-degree angle into the fatty tissue under your skin, press the dose button on the pen, and hold it for about 6 seconds to ensure the full dose is delivered. After injection, remove and safely dispose of the needle
