The Tampa Bay Rays are playing their 2025 home games at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida. This change is due to extensive damage caused to their usual home, Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, by Hurricane Milton in October 2024. Steinbrenner Field, traditionally the New York Yankees' spring training facility, has become the Rays' temporary home for the 2025 season. The stadium seats about 11,000 people, which is smaller than Tropicana Field, but it offers the Rays a viable venue while repairs are made to Tropicana Field, expected to be completed by April 2026. The Rays anticipate returning to Tropicana Field once repairs are done.
