Information from receptors in the nervous system is taken to the central nervous system (CNS) for processing. The CNS consists of the brain and spinal cord, which receive and process sensory information from receptors throughout the body. The brain then interprets these impulses and coordinates the body's responses through muscles or glands. The spinal cord also relays sensory information to the brain and motor commands to the body.
