Robert Redford lived in Utah primarily at his home in Sundance, Utah. He purchased land there in the 1960s, which became Sundance Mountain Resort, and he lived on a property outside of Provo, Utah, in the mountains of Sundance. He also owned a 30-acre horse ranch named after his film "The Horse Whisperer" in Charleston, Utah. His Utah home in Sundance was where he passed away in 2025. This area was the center of much of his environmental activism and artistic collaboration, including the Sundance Film Festival he founded. Additionally, Robert Redford's wife Sibylle Szaggars Redford owned a home near the Sundance Resort, reflecting their strong ties to the region.
