The Great British Bake Off is primarily filmed at Welford Park, a quintessentially British estate located in Newbury, Berkshire. This location has been used since 2014, except for a two-year Covid-related relocation when filming took place at Down Hall Hotel in Bishop’s Stortford, Essex. Welford Park features beautiful grounds with picturesque gardens, parkland, and farmland, providing the iconic backdrop for the show's white tent. The tent is typically pitched for about 10 to 13 weeks during filming, usually from April to June. Before settling at Welford Park, the show filmed its early seasons at various locations including the Cotswolds, Scone Palace, Sandwich, Bakewell, Mousehole, and Fulham Palace in 2010, Valentines Mansion in Redbridge for 2011, and Harptree Court in Somerset for 2012 and 2013. During the Covid pandemic, the shift to Down Hall allowed the cast and crew to live in a quarantine bubble on the estate grounds for filming.

Additionally, "Bake Off: The Professionals" has been filmed at Firle Place from 2017 to 2023, which is a different version of the bake-off series.
