Bali is an Indonesian island province located in Southeast Asia. It sits between the islands of Java to the west and Lombok to the east, and lies just south of the equator at roughly 8 degrees south latitude and 115 degrees east longitude. The island is part of the Lesser Sunda Islands and is near the Java Sea to its north and the Bali Sea to its south. Bali serves as the provincial capital of Denpasar and is surrounded by a larger archipelago of Indonesia, a country spanning thousands of islands.
