Hurricane Humberto is currently a Category 5 hurricane located about 350 miles north-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands, moving west at about 10 mph. It is expected to maintain major hurricane strength for the next several days. The forecast track shows it heading northwest then turning northeast, passing between Bermuda and the U.S. East Coast while remaining over the ocean and not making landfall. It could bring hazardous surf, life-threatening rip currents, and coastal flooding impacts along the U.S. East Coast from Florida to North Carolina starting around Monday. Humberto is expected to stay west of Bermuda on Tuesday through Wednesday before turning back out to sea without making landfall on the U.S. mainland.
