Spain is located in southwestern Europe, occupying most of the Iberian Peninsula, which it shares with Portugal. The Pyrenees mountain range forms a natural border with France. Additionally, Spain includes two major archipelagos: the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea and the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean off the northwest coast of Africa. Spain also has two autonomous cities, Ceuta and Melilla, located on the northern coast of Africa. The Strait of Gibraltar separates Spain from Morocco to the south
