Tallawong is a suburb located in the north-west Greater Sydney area, within the local government area of Blacktown, New South Wales, Australia. It is about 35 kilometers north-west of the Sydney central business district. The suburb was established in 2020 and is named after the Tallawong metro station within its boundaries, which opened in May 2019. The name "Tallawong" is derived from a Darug word meaning "apple gum tree." Tallawong offers a mix of residential areas, parks, recreational spaces, and local shopping, and it is well connected by the Sydney Metro North West & Bankstown Line, with the metro station serving as the terminus on the line.
