The film Conclave (2024) was primarily filmed in and around Rome, Italy, with key scenes set in Vatican City, the seat of the Catholic Church

. Due to the Vatican's strict security and filming restrictions, many interior scenes, including those of the Sistine Chapel and Casa Santa Marta, were recreated at Cinecittà Studios in Rome, one of Europe's largest and most historic film studios
